Christmas 2009 - Part 2

Christmas Morning.

They say to have a proper Christmas you must spend time preparing, decorating and stressing about the season. This year, however, we decided to minimize our decorations and even skipped setting up a tree entirely. We find ourselves celebrating Christmas in San Diego attending Sea World. However, as I have witnesses in my past as a child myself, Christmas is wherever you are with your family.

Christmas morning finds itself in our hotel room as it has in many different years past. Excited children of all ages stare in wide wonder at the collection of presents that appear in the night, deposited by the beloved elf. These children often tend to sit around on the floor in their new jammies unwrapping presents carefully selected and presented to them. This is how we found ourselves this morning. Stockings appeared to be filled as magically as they have when they reside in our home. The boy stood in amazement looking at the small collection of gifts and couldn't wait for them to be opened. WE made short work of the gifts this morning, and hurriedly got ready to see Sea World. More about that on the next post.
For now, enjoy some of the magic we tried to capture in photo of our Christmas morning festivities.

  1. Merry Christmas to you all. I love California oranges, too. If they would last until we got home from Texas, I'd have you buy me a box. But ala, they would probably either be eaten by Belt munchkins or mold in the box. Love to you and enjoy California! MOM
